Dear Carole,

First of all, an important notification: the BioConvS' manager Chiara is taking a few months off for maternity leave. As there is no substitute during her leave, some DIM actions will be put on hold until the second semester of 2026. Have a look below at what it means for our activity in detail!

But we are not stopping completely! Preparations for the annual symposium are still going at full speed and, with the selection of the poster presentations, the program is now complete!

As the project manager prepares to start her maternity leave, we need to adapt BioConvS activities in her absence. Grant calls won't be impacted (nor will any Innovation initiative carried out by the innovation manager, Carole) but some other activities will.

Join the BioWeek
For one (Bio)Week, Paris will be transformed into the global stage for biological innovation, with more than 20 independent events highlighting the power of biology to address challenges in health, climate, and industry. The week will include the iGEM Grand Jamboree, Synthetic Biology 8.0, the BioInnovation Summit, and many networking and public outreach activities. DIM BioConvS is proud to support this collective initiative connecting scientists, entrepreneurs, investors, and the public to celebrate the growing impact of biology on society.

MOOC – Innover avec la recherche publique 
Registrations are open for the end-of-year session of the certified online course "Innover avec la recherche publique", developed by SATT Ouest Valorisation and the Réseau C.U.R.I.E. The MOOC introduces researchers and PhD students to the key principles of research valorization and technology transfer.

SESAME Filiùres – France 2030 Call for Projects 

The 8th wave of the SESAME Filiùres call is open from 1 September 2025 to 13 January 2026. Co-funded by the French State and the Île-de-France Region, and operated by Bpifrance, the program supports the structuring of strategic economic sectors by leveraging the scientific and technological capacities of higher education and research institutions, including shared technology platforms.

Taking iGEM to FĂȘte de la Science
We are thirlled to announce the participation of the iGEM Ionis team to the Village des Sciences at the FĂȘte de la Science of Sorbonne UniversitĂ© this Sunday, Oct 12th! They will join the interdisciplinary booth of the Ile-de-France DIM programs to showcase their exciting project, SPIKY'MUNE, the first anti-cholera edible vaccine made from genetically modified cactus!
