BioFit: On December 2 and 3, Strasbourg hosted the fourteenth edition of BioFIT, a major European event dedicated to medical technologies, diagnostics, and healthcare innovation. The event brought together nearly 700 international participants—including researchers, start-ups, industrial partners, investors, and public institutions—at the Parc des Expositions in the European capital.

Call for projects from the Paris Biofoundry focus in synthetic biology.
As part of a SESAME program under the France 2030 initiative and co-funded: Scientific call for projects from the Paris biofoundry focusing on innovative approaches in synthetic biology.
This call is open from December 1, 2025 to February 20, 2026, with project work starting as early as June 2026.
 Project leaders benefit from:
• 50% coverage of experimental costs, up to a total budget of €100,000
(50% funded by the Paris Biofoundry 50% co-funding required from the applicant),
• access to a dedicated engineer who will carry out on-site experiments using the Paris Biofoundry’s automated workflows.

PCN Santé: Join the online networking event, taking place from January 26 to 30, 2026, dedicated to the creation of a consortium for Cluster 1 Health.

This event focuses on consortium building for the Health Cluster and will be held ahead of the Cluster Health information session, providing additional time to connect with key partners in setting up these consortia dedicated to health research. Deadline: January 21, 2026

PCN santé: Join the online matchmaking event dedicated to the Horizon Europe Health Cluster to connect  partners in France and the UK.
This initiative aims to promote cross-border collaboration, particularly within the Health Cluster, by providing a unique platform for researchers, start-ups, SMEs, and public or private organizations to form strategic partnerships and prepare competitive project proposals.

To facilitate effective networking, participants will be asked to present their project ideas in a 3-minute pitch.

Académie des sciences - AAC - Major French breakthroughs in biology presented by their authors
The Académie des sciences invites young researchers or early-career authors who have contributed to major French scientific advances in biology to present their results in the Grande Salle des Séances of the Institut de France. Winners will be awarded a medal and a prize of €2,500 as part of the Académie des sciences – Major French Advances in Biology recognition.

The ANR aims to focus more on PMEs and Europe.
On December 17, the French National Research Agency (ANR) signed a new Contract of Objectives and Performance (COP) with the French government. Covering the period from 2026 to 2030, it notably includes priority actions focused on innovation with companies and on strengthening the participation of French research in European and international programs.
