Communication Manager
Fixed-term contract (1 year, renewable)
Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Communication / Biotechnologies
Desired Experience: 1 to 4 years
Salary: According to experience
Start Date: March/April 2025 (negotiable)
Missions:
- Contribute to the development and implementation of the communication strategy.
- Develop and implement the organization’s editorial policy.
- Enhance both internal and external communications for the ASU Biofoundry and the Paris Biofoundry.
- Create content for the website (via WordPress) and social media (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky).
- Organize and participate in scientific and institutional events.
- Produce communication materials (posters, brochures, promotional items, etc.).
- Manage budgets, administrative coordination, and financial tracking (using SIFAC), organize meetings, and oversee the execution schedule.
- Contribute to the preparation of studies, reports, and surveys.
- Prepare contracts and agreements and contribute to partnership development.
Job Requirements :
- Knowledge in communication sciences and digital media.
- In-depth knowledge of social media platforms (LinkedIn, X, Bluesky).
- Knowledge of website management (WordPress).
- Proficiency in office software (Word, PPT, Excel) and desktop publishing tools (Photoshop, Illustrator).
- Event planning skills.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English.
- An interest in biology and scientific innovation would be a significant asset for this position.
- Previous experience in a research laboratory or university administration would be an advantage.

Engineer in Biological Analyses by Mass Spectrometry
Fixed-term contract (1 year, renewable)
Education: Master’s degree (Bac+5) in Biochemistry / Analytical Chemistry

Missions:
The engineer will carry out molecular phenotyping of bacterial, yeast, and microalgal strains generated by the ASU Biofoundry by conducting quantitative and structural proteomic and metabolic analyses.
They will interact with users to define their needs and explain the possibilities and limitations of the technologies and equipment available on the platform, to determine the best strategy to adopt for conducting the studies.
They will ensure sample preparation, mass spectrometry analyses, qualitative and quantitative data exploitation, and the writing of analysis reports.
The engineer will also coordinate analytical and computational resources by ensuring the proper functioning of the equipment and by maintaining their metrological oversight (Tribrid Ascend, Vanquish Neo, and Flex), as well as the management of raw data (Ardia server, Thermo).
Job Requirements :
- Knowledge in biochemistry and analytical chemistry.
- Expertise in biological sample preparation methods for mass spectrometry analysis (metabolomics and/or proteomics).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge in separative analytical techniques (especially UHPLC-MS) and in processing UHPLC-MS metabolomic and/or proteomic data (targeted/untargeted) and associated software (Thermo Fisher software, MSDial, DIA-NN, MaxQuant, etc.).
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of key statistical analysis techniques (PCA, ANOVA, t-Test, etc.) and experience with R or Python environments.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English.

Engineer in Software Development & Application Deployment

Missions:
We are looking for a highly motivated individual to join our dynamic research group at the
MICALIS Institute (INRAE & University of Paris-Saclay), a world-class research hub with over
350 scientists working in the fields of systems and synthetic biology for health and
biotechnology.
You will be involved in the first French academic biofoundry funded by the Ile-de-France
Region (Paris area). The Paris Biofoundry is spread over 4 sites in Ile-de-France: DNA and Microbe Biofoundry (Sorbonne Université, Paris), Mammalian cells Biofoundry (Curie Institute, Paris), Cell-Free
Biofoundry (MICALIS Institute, Jouy-en-Josas), and Scale-Up Biofoundry (GENOPOLE, Évry).
As a biofoundry has both computational and wet lab activities, each biofoundry has its own
wet lab with hardware devices. The computational part will be managed by a Galaxy web
portal. As part of our team, you will be in charge of deploying the Galaxy portal that will
integrate software tools from each biofoundry.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and deploy the Galaxy portal,
- Integrate tools into Galaxy,
- Connect Galaxy to Momentum™ Workflow Scheduling Software,
- Train users.
Job Requirements :
- Strong programming skills in Python.
- Comfortable with IT admin and containerization deployment (Docker, Singularity…).
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities, thriving in an interdisciplinary
- environment.
- Theoretical and practical knowledge of key statistical analysis techniques (PCA, ANOVA, t-Test, etc.) and experience with R or Python environments.
- Languages: Fluent in French and English.
