The program offers partipants a hands-on workshop to stimulate their inventiveness, along with awareness of intellectual property rules and tools.

It also includes an introduction to the invention disclosure process and how to complete it.

Additionally, tailored support is provided for participants with more advanced ideas, guiding them through market analysis, competitive research, and other strategic aspects, without addressing any confidential data.

The program provides participants with:

  • The appropriate “déclaration d’invention” form for their institution.
  • The relevant contact person at their institution.
  • Support to answer non-confidential questions in the “déclaration d’invention” related to the market, competition, etc.
  • Inventiveness learning sessions to facilitate patenting.
  • A collective prize for participants submitting a “déclaration d’invention” in 2025.

This is an initiative designed to encourage innovation and promote a culture of invention among scientists from academic laboratories. The Inventor Challenge is based on a key concept: optimizing the value of inventions through group emulation and collective engagement. The aim is to create an environment where researchers are motivated by a group dynamic, in which each individual’s inventiveness is inspired by the ideas and progress of others.
